Hi Everyone...

I wanted to take a moment to post regarding Beehive Studios

Recently it was revealed that Ninaste and Derzi had "created" CU elements that were a copy of Neopets, which is obviously a huge no-no.

There has been a huge outcry against these two people and it got nasty. So nasty, they have closed their doors and decided to not refund people who paid for original CU elements. I feel this is not only irresponsible, but obviously makes them both look even more guilty.

I am not here to judge, but I do thank the PSP community for making everyone aware of this issue. As someone who strives to be copyright compliant, this saddens me.

At one time I CT'd for Beehive Studios, that is why you see tutorials from them on this site.

I struggled with whether or not to remove the tutorials. In the end I decided that the tutorials will stay as I worked my butt of to create the tags and the tutorials.

You will no longer be able to purchase the tubes used to create the tags, and I am not entirely sure that the matching kits used in some of the tutorials are still available. However, I feel tutorials are not really supposed to be followed to letter and most definitely not pushing you to buy the kit/tube so it can be an exact replica. I hope you can still have fun using the tutorials.

This incident is unfortunately the dark side of the PSP world.

We rely on artists and scrapkit makers to be honest with all of us and make products that are copyright compliant. I trusted Ninaste and Derzi, just as many of you did and I am sadden that they burned many of you. I hope in the end they will do the right thing.

Candy Pearl Tutorial

Open 700x700 (You can resize later) To aid in the creation of the tag, make your background white.

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit and tube I chose.

The kit I chose is Kawaii Derzi Cane by Tiny Turtle Designs

Start by opening element 10 and copy and paste on your canvas. Duplicate, flip and mirror.

Next open element 8 and move it slightly to the right.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper 6.
Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame. Deselect.

Now you want to add your tube.
I am using Black Pearl (Candy Pearl Layer) by Ninaste at Beehive Studio.

Again with your magic wand select the inside of the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Using a closeup of the tube of your choice, mirror and place it in the frame.

Invert and hit delete on your keyboard. You should only have the closeup of the tube in the frame.

Now you want to add your full tube. Copy and paste your tube to the left of the frame.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)

Now start adding your elements to create your tag!

Resize tag if you would like as well!

Sea Lovers Tutorials

Open 700x700 (You can resize later) To aid in the creation of the tag, make your background white.

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit and tube I chose.

The kit I chose is Beneath the Sea by Juicy Scrap

Start by opening element 62 and placing it in the center of your canvas. Resize the frame to your liking.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose element 75. 

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect and move below frame.

Now add element 24 and place it in the center of the frame above the paper.

Now choose a fish of your liking. I chose element 26 and placed it towards the top on the right.

Next add element 56 and move towards the bottom below the screen.

Now would be a good place to SAVE

Add elements to start filling in the bottom of the tag. I used elements:

Now you want to add your tube. 

I am using Sea Lovers by Derzi at Beehive Studio.

C/P your tube into the center of the canvas in front of the frame.

You may want to move the elements you added to make your tube look surrounded.

Add Copyright information, your license and your favorite font for the name!

 Purple Ladybug Tutorial

Open 700x700 (You can resize later) To aid in the creation of the tag, make your background white.

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit and tube I chose.

The kit I chose is Aquatic Red Carpet Look by AmyMarie

Start by opening element 63 and placing it wherever you would like on your canvas.

Duplicate and place wherever you would like. You can always move it later.

Next you can add several other element to give your tag the look you want.

For example, I used elements 21, 42, 87, 95, 96 & 107

Now you want to add your tube.

I am using Lady Bug (Purple Layer) by Ninaste at Beehive Studio.

Copy and paste your tube into the center of the canvas.

Please take a moment to Save

Now you can start adding more elements to fill in the look of your tag

Sunflower Girl Tutorial

The kit I chose is Flower Blast Collection by Tiny Turtle Designs

Start by opening element 145 and placing it in the center of your canvas.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper 17. 

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame and deselect.

Next open element 122; re-size and move to the left of the canvas

Add element 102; re-size and move to in front of the tree

Finally add element 149 and place in front of the wheel

To add some color, I added element 33 and then added element 124 to fill in the look of the tag

Now you want to add your tube. Copy and paste your tube into the center of the canvas in front of the fence.

I am using Sunflower Girl by Derzi at Beehive Studio. It is part of the Flower Blast Collection.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)

Summer Beauty Tutorial

Open 700x700 (You can resize later) To aid in the creation of the tag, make your background white.

Let's start making a tag!

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit and tube I chose.

The kit I chose is Tequila by Kittz Kreationz

Start by opening element T-20 and placing it lower on your canvas.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing or create a new layer and fill in the color of your choice. 

I chose to fill in with my own color choice (#ebaf1e). I chose to add texture to my color.

Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds with these settings:

Go back to the frame and select inside the frame if you deselected. Don't forget to expand 5 pixels.

Now you want to add your tube. 

I am using Summer Beauty by Ninaste at Beehive Studio

Copy and paste your tube to the left of the frame (T-20). Duplicate your tube and hide the top layer. With your original tube selected invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below the frame. Deselect.

Unhide the duplicated layer, move it above the frame and line it up with the modified tube. Using the eraser tool, erase any excess part of tube.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)

Now start adding your elements to create your tag!

Beachy Alena Tutorial

Let's start making a tag!

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit and tube I chose.

The kit I chose is Beachy Alena by Tiny Turtle Designs

Start by opening element 89 and placing it higher on your canvas.

Next open element 98 and place it to the right of screen. Add element 100 to the left of your screen

You may have to resize both.

Now we are going to add the "sand" Open element one and place it lower on the canvas. 

(You can adjust this when you add your tube)

Open element 81 and place it over your sand

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper 6. 

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame & Deselect.

Open element 51 and c/p above the frame (element 81). Next add element 91 and c/p above the frame as well. (See tag for reference).

Add element 109 to the right of the bigger frame. Use the same settings and paper as you did for the larger frame. Move paper below the frame and deselect.

Open element 136 and c/p it on the right side of the canvas just slightly over lapping the smaller frame.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)

Now you want to add your tube. Copy and paste your tube into the center of the canvas in front of the all of the elements we've added so far.

I am using Alena by Ninaste at Beehive Studio. 

Now start adding your elements to create your tag!

Moosie Boo Two

Let's start making a tag!

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit and tube I chose.

The kit I chose is SWALK by Candys Treats

Start by opening frame 5 and placing it in the center of your canvas.

Using your magic wand select inside the first and third heart of the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper CT-Block 1 . 

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame. Select None.

For the center heart, open HeartLips2 and resize to fit into the frame. Once you have your element sized to your liking, move below the frame and if need be, use your eraser to remove any excess.

Now you want to add your tube. 

Copy and paste your tube into the center of the canvas in front of the frame

I am using Moosie Boo (White-Black & Pink Layer) by Derzi at Beehive Studio.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)

Now start adding your elements to create your tag!

I Am Me Tutorial

Before we get started I want to take a moment to say, that Autism Awareness in near and dear to my heart. I have one high-functioning autistic child and another one on the spectrum (Aspergers). While our days may be tough, I would not change them or their diagnosis for the world. While my boys are able to communicate, it isn't always the case with autism. 

Our children who act out is not the result of bad or lazy parenting or any other label you want to put on the parents/children. Please take a moment to learn more about Autism, before you look at a parent in disgust when a child is having a meltdown in the grocery store or mumble under your breath that the parent needs to spank the child when you are out to eat at your favorite restaurant.

Start by opening frame 4 and placing it lower on your canvas.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper 4. 

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame.

Select your frame again and using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Open your tube choice and copy and paste into a new canvas. 

The tube I am using is (FTU) LittlePals Pookie by Derzi at Beehive Studio. You can grab this little cutie by joining the BeehiveStudio's Official FAN GROUP on Facebook.

Rotate your tube 12 degrees. Don't forget to sharpen the tube if necessary. Copy and paste your rotated tube into the selected frame area. When you are happy with the placement, 

invert and hit delete on the keyboard. 

Deselect and change blend mode to Luminance. SAVE!

Next copy and paste your tube choice and place to the left on your canvas or wherever you would like.

Now start adding your elements to create your tag!

Veronica Tutorial

Let's start making a tag!

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit I chose.

The kit I chose is Veronica by Hania's Design

Start by opening element 96 (resize 85%) and placing it lower on your canvas.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper 03. 

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame.

Don't deselect.

Open the tube you want to use for your tag.

I am using Veronica by Ninaste from Beehive Studio. 

Duplicate your tube choice and hide the duplicated layer.

With the original layer selected, mirror and place inside the already selected frame. Once you are happy with the placement, hit delete on the keyboard and then select none. Change the blend mode to Luminance and change the opacity to 50%.

Next unhide your duplicated tube and place in front of the frame. 

See my tag for an example of placement.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)

Bonita Tutorial

Let's start making a tag!

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will refer to the kit I chose.

The kit I chose is Spring Bonita by Tiny Turtle Designs

Open element 29 and center in the canvas.

Using your magic wand select inside the frame and expand by 5 pixels.

Choose a paper of your choosing. I chose paper 3. You may have to resize the paper.

Copy and paste paper, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move below frame.

Don't deselect.

Next choose a tube for your tag.

I am using Bonita by Ninaste from Beehive Studio.

Once you have chosen a tube, duplicate and place in the frame in the center. Hide the duplicated layer.

With the original layer selected, hit delete on your keyboard. Selections None. Move your

your altered tube to the bottom of the frame (but above the paper)

Unhide your duplicated tube layer and place it atop of the frame and line it up with your

altered tube. With your eraser, clear away any excess so that it appears your tube is inside

the frame.

The kit I am using is FairyDust by AmyMarie

Start by opening element 49 and placing it lower on your canvas.

Next open 65 and place over the fence.
If you would like, you can add any background elements you would like at this point.

I added elements, 58 (slightly left) and 67 (left side of tag).
I then added element 79 (mirrored and in front of fence).

Finally before adding my tube I added element 73 (mirrored). You can place them where you would like.

Now you want to add your tube.
Copy and paste your tube into the center of the canvas in front of the fence.

I am using Bunny Bug by Ninaste at Beehive Studio. It is part of the Bunny Girls Collection.

Now would be a good place to SAVE :)
